I don’t do machine embroidery but I loved this. Do the tiny sewing gremlins live in my Granny’s sewing machine? I think I need some tiny tacos, or replacement sewing gremlins if mine starved to death from no use. The funny thing about the tiny tacos is I have GIR from Invader Zim in my head shouting about tacquitos.
I would love a pattern for a Steampunk Bacon Cat that I could cross-stitch.

  25. 25
    debbie says:

Oh my! My friend has a little weird concept that if she smells bacon it will relieve her stress, depression or any of lifes little bothers.

    Just love all the designs!

I am really in awe of this post. You have let out all the industry secrets, this is exactly how we do it too! You will be hearing from my lawyers.

Just kidding! Brilliant explanation of the process. But if you make Steampunk Bacon Cat, someone will be clamoring for Steampunk Bacon Dog, Mouse, and of course Steampunk Bacon Monkey.

I need to learn to digitze so I can do some schmancy brocade designs incorporating my logo for my product packaging. I suppose if I google I can find some tutorials.

  66. 66
    Linda says:

All this time I kept thinking I had to call the sewing machine repair guy, and all I really needed was more tiny tacos. Thank goodness for this most informative and helpful tutorial. You have save my bacon.

    Martha Anderson says:

I would like a poster of that. Pretty please.

  70. 70
    cleo says:

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA – it describes perfectly how i think my clients think i work!!!

the only think that is missing from the Steampunk Bacon Cat is …. COWBELL!!

    Kyla kahn says:

Ah finally someone else who understands my plight!!!!(insert sinister laugh here)

  73. 73
    Cathy Brown says:

Okay, the bacon cat is too cute, but my favorite things are the caffinated monkies. It takes one to appreciate one, you know.

  74. 74
    Nick says:

Personally I would love a team of ‘highly caffinated monkeys’ working at my job – Oh hang on a minute we do have a team of monkeys, all caffined up, at my job! LOVE this poster it totally rocks x.

  75. 75
    Terry Schultz says:

My walls are completly bare. I believe everyone needs highly caffinated monkeys, but bacon cats have to stay away from here with 3 Boston terriers.(they love bacon)

  76. 76

I think it has to be a dead heat between the banana-themed cup of coffee and the sprinkles. Truthfully, it takes all of these things. Being someone who is actually a man-suit filled with caffeinated monkeys standing on a Digomatic 2000, It’s hard to choose just one element. πŸ˜‰

  77. 77
    Tina Moxon says:

That’s why my designs are no where near as good as yours – my monkeys drink decaf!
LOVE Steampunk Bacon Cat! – any chance of a three legged version just like my rescue cat Denzel?

  78. 78
    Sharre says:

The highly caffeinated monkeys are obviously the most important aspect, as their terrifying space monkey cousins would tell you.

  79. 79
    Cheryl says:

I gotta say that is has to be the diet coke, sprinkles and SciENCE! (Sheldon of Big Bang Theory would be ecstatic about that response) And then the I.T gnomes and GEARS (that’s for my husband, the software and engineer geek – hehehehe!).

  80. 80
    Kath says:

sizzle steam punk bacon cat, those buzzed monkeys cooked another delightful dish!

  81. 81
    Keri says:

So, remind me if we can get ahold of this poster. REALLLLLLY want one in my sewing room πŸ™‚

  82. 82
    Madelyn says:

Everyones dreaming out about the steampunk bacon cat, but I want to have a embroidery design for the tiny sewing gremlin (with or without mini taco) and the gnomes!!! Please, I have just the spot for it in my room!!!

  83. 83
    Annette Dillon says:

I just read the article “How Machine Embroidery Designs Are Made” and I am still laughing. As an embroiderer who has been using my Viking digitizing program for years, this is the perfect answer as to how it is done. Thanks for the laugh! BTW, can we still get the Steampunk Cat?

  84. 84
    Terry Mullen says:

Yes please to the poster and the sewing gremlin!

  85. 85
    Susie D says:

Day made!!! I truly appreciate a phenomenal sense of humor!

  87. 87
    Sabine Tirpitz says:

What I really would like to have is the Digomatic 2000. Because it makes the fantastic designs real. Could you please show us more of the inner magic of that brilliant machine? Or just tell me, where I can get one?
