The Monster Bash contest deadline has come and gone, and oh my word those monsters! You guys filled up our flickr group with 169 photos of monster creations, and they are all totally monsteriffic. Picking our 10 ten favorites resulted in a lot of back and forth here in the office — it was a tough choice. So hard to choose! I kept waffling between stitchy doll, steampunk robot, and sad monster. (Sad Monster makes ME sad just looking at him! Maybe winning would cheer him up?)

was a toss up between pajama eater and zombie bunny, but the part of me that says everything has to be “useful” made me vote for pajama eater

Man that was one of the hardest decisions…they are all amazing. Seven Deadly Monsters are brilliant; The Stitchy Doll is a fantastic interpretation and execution of a translated embroidery design; Steampunk Robot is fantastic, Monster Plant is so genius and OMG BABY!; Cat Ogre is right out of “Where the Wild Things Are”; Two-Headed Sweethearts makes me think of the Two Headed Monster from Sesame Street (aahhh nostalgia); Pajama Eater is adorable; Sad Monster is sad and awesome application of the the FSL wings; and finally Zombie Bunny…need I say more? Basically everyone did a brilliant, molto bene and FANTASTIC job….

I just have to go with the flying purple people eaters! That’s no sad tear – it’s a tear of joy from the delicious dinner. Good luck Debbie!

    • debbie says:

      Thanks Bobbye.

I appreciate your vote! I did have a couple of kiddos playing at my house and then they disappeared! Their mom probably took them home, but they would of been a sweet meal!

    Kelly Kurtz says:

I love them all how in the world can we pick? I would love to know what the hair is made of and if you used a pattern to make the stichy doll? I have a frien who would LOVE her. Good Luck to everyone!

    • Elizabeth K says:

I didn’t use a pattern, she’s all from scratch. The hair is crochet pigtails;o) Very easy to do, but very time consuming.

  26. 26

Monster Plant! Love the eyeballs on all the “leaves”. It’s hard to pick, everyone’s entries are so inventive and humorous. Awesome contest!

  27. 27
    Giliell says:

    Sooo hard.
But I think I lost my heart for zombie-bunny the moment I saw it.

  28. 28
    Debbie says:

Truly a very difficult decision! I am so excited to see such wonderfully imaginative creativity. Voting for one (steampunk robot)does not diminish the “fabulousness” of the rest. Kudos to all!
