Allison Healy was raised in the Northwoods of Minnesota where she developed a deep association to the natural world, a theme which carries throughout her work.  As she states, "I have left this setting behind, but it has never left me."

To pursue new challenges, she left high school two years early and received an associate degree in liberal arts at the age of eighteen, which gave her the opportunity to spend some time in Scotland before receiving her diploma.

She received a degree from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design where she focused on illustration and graphic arts. Of her experience there, Allison said, "there are many individuals who inspired and opened my eyes to a world of possibilities and I could never thank them all, despite my desire to do so."

During her time at MCAD she also studied illustration abroad at the University of Brighton, on the south coast of England. "This, above any other experience, was a catalyst for growth, both personally and artistically."

She now resides in Boston, were she says she is faced with new and exciting challenges in the professional and artistic world.
