Hey, Karline here, with another inspiring and endearing collection of crafty mascots! You guys are sending the most adorable, rockin', and awesome photos of your crafty helpers ... keep 'em coming!

First up is Chuck, the stash guardian and quality inspector of Jen's craft room. That's right, apparently Craft Bunny and Mortimer aren't the only vicious crafty wabbits around.

Chuck is a 10 lb Californian rabbit (that's big for a bunny) who guard the fabric with pointy nasty teeth. "He's a tyrant and he's shattered dishes because they're empty," craft blogger Jen writes. "I'm quite confident that my fabric stash is safe while he's on duty."

Lisa sent this pic of Miss Margo helping her out with some sassy embroidery. Starting 'em young ... that's what we like to see! Speaking of which....

This is Mason and his mannequin. His mom Linda has been a hairdresser and hair educator for the past 17 years, so there are things like this around the house.

"I've got a collection of mannequin heads, and one stand that I can use to teach classes on location, well, the stand has to be kept short in order for him not to be able to pull it on top of himself daily," she says. "The mannequin head ends up being his height on the lowest stand setting. Now, he gets to kiss the mannequin daily - ALL DAY - and he often brings me and her fabrics to clothe her with. I'll use hair clips to keep them on her, otherwise he won't quit putting them on her! He also likes to brush and comb her hair, and add clippies to make her pretty. Sometimes he takes a bath with her and washes her hair and face. It's very cute."

And now for a bonus...

This is my kitty Socks, who does indeed match this quilt I made last winter. Sewing is always interesting at my house because whenever I spread out a piece of fabric, she immediately sits down on top of it and refuses to budge ... or pounces on top of it to rumple it up. Does the same thing with making the bed, for whatever reason. Large sheets of fabric freak her out. On the other hand, if an intruder tried to make off with said quilt, I have no doubt she or he would be on the wrong end of the kitty-fangs. Socks is a good knitting buddy, too.

Share your crafty mascot! Send pics to craftymascot@urbanthreads.com of your pet/kid/stuffed animal/whatever helping out with your crafty endeavors, and we'll post a few of them right here on the blog every Thusday.
