Fanged Bunnies Everywhere

I add crazy bunnies to a lot of things. Designs, tutorials, even future nefarious schemes to take over the world (shh).

Too many things probably, or so I tell myself. My only redeeming quality, it seemed, was that I withheld from adding fangs to all of them. Sometimes they’re just nice, normal bunnies. It’s a struggle, but I try. I try not to inflict my craziness onto the world.

I swear.

It just leaks out sometimes.

Well, craftster user mominashoe created this  design hack by combining our sneezy bunny tissue holder with our sneezy monster tissue holder in order to give the bunny fangs.

I love it when you guys are right along with me in crazy land. It’s one of the many reasons I love you all.

I’m pretty sure most of you are as nutso as I am.

UT Tutorial – Cute Critter Tissue Holders

Cold season is upon is, and the a case of the sniffles isn’t something we can usually escape for long. You might as well be prepared, and well, a little entertained as well right?

Then grab yourself a super cute and fairly hilarious little bunny, monster, or robot to keep you company through the cold season. They’re created entirely in the hoop and they’re  a snap to make.

Get the tutorial here on how to stitch ‘em together in the hoop.

One they’re created, just feed em’ some travel size tissue packets and you’re good to go.

Honestly, who hasn’t wanted their own personal robot cold assistant to keep you company while you’re sick?

PUSH Stitchery Giveaway!

Look what we got our hands on…

And we couldn’t be more thrilled. Except for one point…we don’t get to keep it.

You do!

That’s right, we have a copy PUSH Stitchery, the contemporary embroidery book curated by Mr X Stitch (aka Jamie Chalmers) that’s been all over the crafty blogosphere of late and debuting to rave reviews. And you can win this copy!

What do you have to do? Just leave a comment on this post and you’re entered! You have ’til Monday, Oct. 3, 2011 at 11:59pm Central time. We’ll announce our randomly generated winner next week.

So what’s all the fuss about?

This new book is a gorgeous collection of cutting edge embroidery from artists from all over the world. It’s got interviews with the creators as well as beautiful full page photos of absolutely divine stitchery.

If you ever feel the need to defend your embroidery as an art form, this is the book to keep on your coffee table. This collection of artists and crafters shows just what this medium can do, and do it well.

Jaime’s collection shows that embroidery is not just alive, but thriving as the counterculture graffiti of today’s crafting generation.  I love it.

And I’m not the only one. You better hurry up an enter, because this book is just dripping with delicious stitches, and you know Craft Bunny’s penchant for devouring all things tasty and crafty.

(though I do promise your copy will be delivered free of chompy bunny marks)

Seriously.

How much do you want this?

Because I want it enough to not only have a reason to wish for cold weather, but I’d even try my hand at knitting. And we all know that wouldn’t be pretty. I’m pretty sure my bunny would be lucky to have a mouth, let alone an awesome set of those fanged chompers.

The more eagle eyed of you are no doubt noticing this looks an awful lot like a giant Craft Bunny is trying to eat her head, and that’s because this is Wickedstepmother1969‘s pattern for a Monty Python bunny (read: craft bunny) that is so awesome not only does it look like he’s gleefully chomped your whole head, but you also sort of look like a deranged ninja to boot.

Love it Wickedstepmother1969! You made my day today.
