The Bunnies Go Marching On…

Since their release less than two weeks ago, it has been nothing short of amazing watching The Giving Bunny army spread from one bunny on my studio table to a whole army spreading bunny joy across the world! With another weekend of possible bunny schemes to come, I thought I’d share some of the adventures these little guys have already been up to.

Folks jumped in with both feet to make a small army of regular bunnies…

Some of these bunnies will be off to the hospital children's ward soon!- StuffSusieMade

But it didn’t take long before they started taking on wild personalities of their own…

They formed their own little groups, even forming their own little bands and groupies…

Some seemed strangely familiar, but I couldn’t figure out exactly “Who” they were. Hmm.

Guess Who?

They ventured out for movies and social events…

and even expressed their own nerdy quirks and interests.

They are also made by all kinds of people, in all different ways, all over the world. They’ve been made (and found!) by adults and kids…

And by machine, sometimes into mini bunny armies themselves!

And when the bunnies were done and dressed up, they ventured out into the world, waiting for their new owners and prepared for an adventure (and possible bad weather).

They’ve invaded schools, libraries, coffee shops, movie theaters, nursing homes and even hospitals…

With the growing bunny army venturing out into the world, bunnies are finding new homes and maybe even inspiring the creation of more bunnies! After all, it is the season of giving, and the bunnies are all for the holiday spirit.

With each bunny found, one more person might join in to spread the bunny joy, and thus the bunny army grows.

What’s more, with your help, the bunny tag has expanded from English to include four five new languages, GermanItalianFrenchSpanish and now Dutch

and spread to 5 continents around the world, with schemes even to Antarctica!

All within two short little weeks.

Who knew bunnies were so good at multiplying?

With your help, and a giving spirit, who knows for far these bunnies can go, and how many people we can bring a little joy to. If you want to take part, check out all the details on the Giving Bunny Project here, and grab your FREE bunny design for machine stitchers here, and hand stitchers here. You can browse through all the photos of the giving bunnies we’ve gotten so far with the gallery above and even add your own.

Happy holidays everyone, and thank you for being in the giving spirit! It has been nothing short of inspiring to watch the world embrace these bunnies. I hope your adventures go well this weekend :)

I have asked followers on my blog facebook page to help me. I am going to make a Bunny in honor of every victim of today’s tragedy in CT and send them out into the world as a random act of kindness.

Have you considered an army of bunnies to send to the school in Connecticut ? They have suffered so much.Maybe these little guys can bring a smile to children affected by this horrible tragedy. send an SOS to all of us to make bunnies.

I am happy to make bunnies for the children and families in CT. I was thinking the same thing today that maybe a little bunny to keep with each of them would bring comfort. A little sign of love, faith and hope. Let them know that world is thinking of them and praying for them. I little bit of comfort to keep close, squeeze an hug when they need it. Lets all pitch in and show them we are here for them. This is a time for us all to come together and show what kindness there is in all of us and help heal with the giving bunnies. I am committed to make 26 bunnies. Let all join in and make a difference in these young lives.

My friend who lives in Hawaii,my mother who lives 2 hours away, and I have committed ourselves to doing a 100 bunny goal this year. My friend and I only have regular sewing machines, while my mother has an embroidery machine. (meaning she’ll be able to do these faster than my friend and i can.)I am excited to start giving them away, and i’m working on recruiting more to the bunny maker army!
