Exclusive Poster Giveaway – How Machine Embroidery Designs Are Made

When this little number showed up all about how machine embroidery designs are made, many of you asked for it in poster form, and we had to agree that would be pretty awesome.
Well this is the day you’ve been waiting for, because in today’s contest we’re giving away four professionally printed full color posters of “How Machine Embroidery Designs Are Made”, an exclusive you won’t find anywhere else!
All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment on this post telling us what part of the machine embroidery process from the poster you think is the most important (gnomes? monkeys? diet coke and sprinkles? I bet it’s the tiny tacos…) and you’ll be entered to win one.
Then sit back and start planning where you might put this big and beautiful 48 inch poster in your crafting room, and then start planning for all the weird looks everyone’s going to give you for it. Don’t worry about it. They’re just jealous they don’t have a Steampunk Bacon Cat.

This is such a hard one because everyone is so important in the creation of awesome designs! But I think I will go with the highly caffeinated monkeys because without caffeine me and my machine would be in trouble. Thank you all for what you do…:-)

I would have to say gears, technology, gremlins and unicorn magic are the key to success, although all the gnomes involved are pretty useful too. ^^
The I.T. Gnomes seem to be the most important step (well, if not most important, then the cutest. I <3 geeks.)

Either way, digitizing is someting I don't have the time to master, so you guys (er.. gals) are like my fairy godmothers (only, you know, young and pretty, not short and squat like so many are cast in Hollywood).
Tiny sewing gremlins with tinier tacos!! Very, VERY important (almost as much as Steampunk Bacon Cat).
Tiny tacos! They make me think of GIR from Invader Zim, ergo, tiny GIRs eating tiny tacos make machine go!

I think the IT Gnomes are highly under-rated. They don’t even get paid in tiny tacos. They need some love.

I think it’s the voodoo magic. It seems to me that it’s fairly closely related to swearing a lot, which is a crucial part of my creative process.
though not a supporter of gnomes, they do provide an important roll… so i’ll have to give the credit to them (but don’t tell them i said so)
Definately the gnomes, such silly, punctual creatures can’t be missed in the process. Like we already saw in the story of Snowwhite, they will we able to do anything, without asking for a reward

The gremlins and tiny tacos are my fav. I think because they aren’t particular of what type of sewing machine they work on. Mine are fed soft shelled tacos, they seem to like the portability better… bitch to roll though..

I would like to see what their illustrated Shakespeare looks like. Is Hamlet a monkey too? Also, is it a graphic novel style Shakespeare or just illustrated plates like many old books have? Ooo now there should be a pack of monkey Shakespeare characters…. Hamlet, Romeo and Juliette, Macbeth, Othello….

The most important part…definitely the diet Coke. Nothing can be accomplished without diet Coke. Plus it resulted in the cutest steampunk bacon cat!

Since I am always “hangin’ with my Gnomies” I would say the most important part of the process is the Gnomes and their wonderful input.They also are the top Bunny caretakers, too, if I remember…..

I was gonna say the tiny tacos, because they feed the sewing gremlins that actually sew the design into the thing, plus, I wanted to make an Invader Zim/Gir “I love the little tacos, I love them goood.” reference, but someone already sort of did so…yeah, you know what, I’m still going to go with the tiny tacos for the sewing gremlins. It really is my favorite part…watching the design being stitched on, and it wouldn’t be possible without the gremlins who eat the tacos, for sure…of course the sprinkles, gnomes, magic, etc are needed as well, but they only take the design so far. Without the gremlins, it would just be a digitized steampunk bacon cat in an embroidery machine waiting to be a part of something…
The Digomatic 2000. Nothing happens until the Digo is fed. I’m assuming with all those gears, technology, unicorn magic, and gremlins it’s nothing short of brilliant mystical pandemonium inside that “magical” machine!

I think it all starts with the Highly Caffeinated Monkeys, because they feed the machine that magically turns their idea into a format that the Magical Machine can understand, and so magically bring their ideas into the real world. It’s creativity made visible.

The monkeys can be replaced with gremlins. I would have to say the gremlins are the single most important part. Anyone can find unicorn magic (hint: it’s in all the sparkly stuff), voodoo is self-perpetuating but needs a hand to guide it, sprinkles and Diet Coke (at last! A use for Diet Coke!) are catalysts, but not essential
Also, there are both an “I” and a “me” in “gremlin”.

Well Unicorn magic is very important to all digitizing, but I think that Steampunk Bacon Kitty has some internal magic that is a catalyst for the unicorns to awaken. We all know that cats are generally magical, right?
Always has been, and always will be, the gnomes. Except the sock stealering gnomes. They give gnomes a bad name.

Although its not really part of the process, it’s involved with this particular project portrayed on the poster…The answer is clearly bacon! Anytime anything has ANYTHING to do with bacon, that becomes the most important part…thats what makes the design so much better than the 3 mona lisa duplicates!
However, if I had to state the most important general process, I think the unicorn magic takes the cake, quite possibly literally….that would be very cool, to take cake with unicorn magic, eat some, then turn it into an embroidery design, the left overs that is….although, I’m not sure there are a lot of people who would want left over cake embroidered on a lot of things….. the unicorn eating the cake would be much better…topped with bacon… A BACON CAKE EATING UNICORN!!!

I would have to say that I love the IT gnomes since they are the ones who make sure everything is working but I love the whole poster!! The gremlins, gnomes, the monsters and monkeys!! Though we cannot forget a big help to the whole thing lots and LOTS of COFFEE!!
I think the caffeinated monkeys play the critical part. The planning gnomes have to come up with ideas but the caffeinated monkeys provide the actual creative genius to create the design. I have to say, I can identify with those little wired up guys. Without my caffeine, I’d never get anything done.

The most important part of the process to me is a healthy combination of special gnome creativity and ingenuity (who else could have dreamed up the greatness that is Steampunk Bacon Cat) and SCIENCE. SCIENCE is of the utmost importance.

The gremlins are the most important part, and you have to treat them just right, or they WILL stuff up the sewing on you. You can have everything else just so, but if the gremlins don’t want to play NOTHING will make that design come out right!

I know when I’m digitizing I absolutely rely on gremlins and unicorn magic otherwise all my designs would be sub-par. So I’m gonna say gremlins and unicorns.
